gee, thanks.

I'm usually the only one in the house whenever i go home.
So today it wasn't unusual to wake up and find myself alone.
But unlike most lonely days, today was thanksgiving.
We, as a family, never really celebrate a holiday on the appropriate designated day.
We're celebrating on saturday.
Don't bother asking me why, because I've been pondering this for as long as I can remember.
It's just what we do. The Arguelles family tradition to not do tradition.
Whenever I get the chance to begin a family, tradition will become essential.
Until then, I'm writing blogs while everyone stuffs their face. It's a special diet.
.....but nonetheless, today is thanksgiving. &i am very thankful.

i'm thankful for..

1) a family to call my own.
2) friend's who are to legit to quit.
3) thunderbird adventist academy
4) the struggles that made me stronger
5) blessings that keep me going
6) second chances
7) the joy of home cooked meals
8) laughter. definitely laughter.
9) all the good, we choose to see.

there's plenty of other things i could express gratitude for. but nine seems like enough to verify that i am blessed with things to appreciate. not just realizing this on thanksgiving, eating the last piece of pie, and then moving on. but to reflect on what you have, and cherish it. all of it.
yes, i may be all alone on thanksgiving.. and sick in bed may i add. but my feast for champions consist of  tea and soup. and you know what? that's just fine. because the holiday was intended to be grateful. i am grateful for my bowl of soup, my cozy bed.. and being able to keep down my soup. happy thanksgiving.

p.s. God=blessings=gratitude. so say thank you.

p.s.s. I swear I wrote this during thanksgiving. I just never realized that it never actually got posted on my blog. lo siento amigs.
